Keynote Speeches - Empowering the Next Generation
Young people are the pillars and engine for driving long-term development of the society and economy. In this session, key officials responsible for youth policies and devoted to youth development from different regions will unveil the critical role of youth in social and economic development. They will shed light on the policies and initiatives taken by governments in nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and encouraging social engagement. The speakers will also share their insights on how young individuals could contribute to the economic and social growth of different regions, and identify potential opportunities for international collaboration in youth development. Thematic Session 1
Promoting Technological Innovation to Accelerate the Development of New Quality Productive Forces
This session will bring together distinguished speakers from aviation, technology and innovation, healthcare, and finance sectors to explore the power of innovation in driving economic growth and the important role played by youth. The panel will focus on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), green technology, life science, and sustainable finance, highlighting their potential to revolutionise industries and accelerate the development of new quality productive forces.

The panellists will share how new technologies are leveraged to improve customer experiences and operations, and their impact on sustainable development, healthcare and economic development, opportunities in green finance, as well as how young people should equip themselves for future challenges.

They will also examine prospects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Hong Kong's strategic role and advantages in the GBA, and the unique opportunities offered by Hong Kong as an international aviation hub, innovation and technology centre, and financial centre.

Featuring key community leaders in youth development and speakers from diverse backgrounds in sports and charity, the panel will explore the importance of fostering a positive mindset among young people. Discussions will also cover the impact of philanthropy and volunteerism on youth, illustrating how these experiences can build character, empathy, and a sense of responsibility towards society, with emphasis on the importance of partnerships among the government, commercial and non-government organisations in nurturing holistic youth development.

Through a blend of personal narratives on overcoming adversity, and stories of achieving success through discipline, perseverance, and fortitude, the session aims to equip youth participants with the tools needed to cultivate a positive outlook on life, paving the way for a brighter future.
